Branch has a flat swing and doesn't get much power out of it, but he makes a lot of contact and showed above-average plate discipline as a freshman. He can handle a spot up the middle and has above-average. He's not much of a threat in the box and is extremely BABIP reliant as of now. He has the bat-to-ball skills to get by but will need to do more damage - whether that's in the gaps or via souveniors, to jump into an everyday role. The glove, athleticism and consistency in the profile is a plus.
