Hickson is one of the major pre-season risers this year. He sat 93 on the fastball in 2024, with 16” of vertical break. His mid-80s slider with 8” of sweep was arguably his best pitch, with his change-up profiling closer to average despite being thrown at 88 mph. Hickson has been up to 98 mph this spring, with the stuff taking a step up metrically, which will likely move him up boards this year.
