I saw Moore in his first start of the year and thought the stuff was there, but the command was lacking, which has held true. He’s up to 97 mph, but sits closer to 92 mph on his fastball and has run into bats to the tune of a .440 wOBA. There’s an 80 mph sweeper shape in here, but it, too, has struggled to miss bats. His third pitch is a cutter, which has been solid in small samples. I’m highest on his splitter at 81 mph, which has been great when he throws it. He’s the kind of guy who will kill a stuff model, but the results are yet to come.
