The arsenal is headlined by a fastball that sits 90-93 mph and touches 94 mph with plus 20+ inches of induced vertical break that generates chase and weak contact, while his plus curveball (80+ mph with depth) and quality changeup give him three legitimate weapons to attack both right- and left-handed hitters. At times he can get hit when hitters sit on his predictable sequences. More velocity behind the fastball should help him there. If Hansen can add a cutter to his arsenal as another weapon against left-handed hitters while refining his pitch mix in 2026, he profiles as a safe back-end starter or swingman whose pitchability, durability, and strike-throwing give him a realistic path to pro ball.

Ricky Ojeda is a high-strikeout left-hander who dominated hitters in 2025, posting an elite 11.32 K/9 and 31.7% strikeout rate over 66 innings while showcasing advanced bat-missing ability (25.5% in-zone whiff) and solid command metrics. The arsenal is built around a fastball that sits in the low 90s and touches 94-95 mph. Ojeda is a prime example of leveraging Vertical Approach Angle (VAA) to get whiffs at the top of the zone and above. From a 5.5ft release height with 19.6” of IVB, Ojeda’s fastball is a -3.99° VAA to the top third of the strike zone. That’s elite. The main development area is tightening the command and offspeed shapes. A 36.7% first pitch strike rate on non-fastballs suggests he can become predictable at times, forcing him to challenge hitters with the fastball only. If Ojeda can improve his offspeed shapes, specifically the slider and splitter, while maintaining his elite bat-missing ability, he profiles as a potential back-end starter with swing-and-miss upside, though his modest velocity and frame may limit his ceiling.

The hit tool metrics here are strong, with a sub-20% whiff rate, but he'll need to hit for more power as his current max EV is 107 mph.

Martinez is a mid-major 1B who’s a hit-over-power type, which may be a hard sell for some. The positives here are that the contact quality and launch profiles have been outstanding thus far in his college career, and he was solid on the Cape, where he produced some SLG in addition to walking more than he struck out. If he’s able to take a jump on the EVs he’ll have a chance to fit in the third round range this summer.

Kelly was a major pop-up name in the 2022 draft as a prep, ultimately being selected by Arizona in the 20th round. Through 2 seasons at UC, Irvine he’s thrown just 20.1 innings, but has flashed his trademark elite spin traits on his banger curveball. In addition to the breaking ball, he’s thrown a mid 90s fastball with 20” of carry and just 1.5” of horizontal break, a true cut/ride profile. He’ll have a shot to recapture some of the hype on his profile if he can stay on the mound in 2025.
