Likewise to Brock Wilken, Waldschmidt might be in line for a big junior year after two solid but not great springs. He missed time on the Cape because of an injury but looked really good in his brief time there. His approach is great, it's a selective approach. He rarely chases, but he gets rung up a bit too much. He hits the ball hard, but not to his pull side. Despite plus bat speed he's struggled to get to his power in games. The lack of pull side loft is limiting his ability to get to his 60-grade raw. It's 35-grade power now, but could be 55-grade through development. He's spent time in center field but probably ends up in right field.
